Chrome extension for Threads

How to install Replyvero

Replyvero installs from an archive: download it, turn on Developer mode in Chrome and pick the unzipped folder. It takes a couple of minutes. Your login and password come from our Telegram bot, and the first hour is free.

Before you start

  • Google Chrome 116 or newer on a computer. You can check the version at chrome://settings/help.
  • A Threads account you're logged into in the same Chrome.
  • A Replyvero login and password. Our Telegram bot gives them out: message it, and the first hour is free.

Install

  1. Download the archive: replyvero-extension.zip. The bot sends the same file.
  2. Unzip it to a permanent place, such as Documents. You'll get a replyvero-extension folder. Don't delete or move it: Chrome reads the extension from this folder on every start.
  3. Open the extensions page. Paste chrome://extensions into the address bar and press Enter.
  4. Turn on Developer mode with the switch in the top right corner.
  5. Click "Load unpacked" and pick the replyvero-extension folder, the one with manifest.json directly inside.
  6. Pin Replyvero to the toolbar. Click the puzzle icon to the right of the address bar, then the pin next to Replyvero.
  7. Open the panel and sign in. Click the Replyvero icon and the side panel opens on the right. Enter the login and password from the bot.
  8. Open threads.com in the same Chrome and log in to Threads if you haven't yet.

Done. Start by describing what you sell: Replyvero builds its client search plan from it. The guide on how to get clients on Threads explains how it works.

If something goes wrong

  • There's no "Load unpacked" button. Developer mode is off: it's the switch in the top right corner of chrome://extensions.
  • Chrome says the manifest is missing. You picked the wrong folder. You need the one with manifest.json directly inside, not the folder one level up.
  • Chrome reminds you about Developer mode. That's normal for extensions installed from an archive. Just close the message.
  • The panel says the extension is outdated. Download the fresh archive and update as described in the questions below.
  • You can't sign in. Check the login and password in the bot. If that doesn't help, message support in the bot.

Questions and answers

Is it safe?

The extension works only on threads.com and replyvero.com: that's written in its manifest, and Chrome shows it on the extension's page. It doesn't need your Threads password: it works in the tab where you're already logged in. The only permissions it asks for are settings storage, the side panel and running its own script on Threads pages.

How do I update it?

When an old version stops working, the panel says the extension is outdated. Download the fresh archive from this page or ask the bot for it, and replace the files in the same folder you unzipped to the first time. Then open chrome://extensions and click the reload arrow on Replyvero. Your settings, login and drafts stay. If you unzip to a different folder, Chrome treats it as a new extension and you'll have to sign in again.

The extension disappeared after Chrome restarted. What now?

Most likely the extension folder was deleted or moved: Chrome reads the extension from it on every start. Unzip the archive again to a permanent place, such as Documents, and load that folder on chrome://extensions once more.

Which browsers does it work in?

Google Chrome 116 or newer on a computer: Windows, macOS or Linux. Other Chromium browsers can load unpacked extensions too, but we test Replyvero only in Chrome. Chrome extensions don't work on phones.
